Table of Contents
1. Course Overview
A KPI system creates value only when it measures critical results and supports management action. Too many KPIs, inadequate data sources, weak strategic alignment, or inappropriate weightings can encourage compliance behavior and distort team priorities.
The course “Building an Effective KPI System” guides participants in cascading objectives from corporate level to functions and positions; designing indicators, formulas, data sources, measurement frequency, weightings, and performance thresholds; and using dashboards, review meetings, and performance feedback.
Participants practice building an objective tree and KPI scorecard for a specific unit or position. The outcome provides a more transparent measurement basis, enables earlier detection of variances, and supports data-driven system improvement.
